How to: Post your Garage, yard, rummage, flea market or estate sale ads at Local-Deals

Overview of Ad posting process:


Step 1: Customer fills out posting form.
Step 2: Validation code is sent to customer by email Step 3: Customer asked to confirm the posting by clicking on the link in the email.
Step 3: Ad is queued for posting and reviewed by admins.
Step 4: Ad is posted.

Section 1:
  • Contact Email: This must be a valid email address. This is used to validate the ad, we send a validation code by email.
  • Street Address: Required field for posting an ad. Be sure to indicate St., Rd. Ave., Blvd. this helps when people try to map to your sale
  • Select a city: Pick a city from the list or use the field below it to enter it if we don't have it listed.
  • Phone number: THIS IS OPTIONAL! We never post phone numbers using this field. This would be only for Local-Deals to contact you.
  • State/Province: Use the pull-down list to indciate your state. This is used in the search pages.
  • Zip Code: A required field for posting an ad. This is also used in the search pages.
Section 2:
  • Sale Date: Date the sale begins.
  • Start time: The time the sale begins on the sale date(s).
  • End time: The time the sale is scheduled to end on the sale date(s).

Section 3:
  • Sale Type: Garage,Yard, Moving, Estate, Fundraiser, Block, Rummage Sale or Flea Market

Section 4:
  • Multiple day sale: Use this to indicate the sale spans more than one day.
  • Rain/Shine: Will the sale continue even if it rains?
  • Early birds: Is it okay for a few people to show up before the sale offically starts?

Section 5:
  • Sale Description: This field is for describing the item you'll have forsale.
    It's important to have a good description with as many keywords as possible. The search pages
    and sale notifier use keywords to find sales. Be as complete as possible. Remember that you want your ad to attract customers.

Section 6:
  • Upload Pictures: Use the "Browse" buttons to select pictures from your computer to upload.
    These pictures will display in your ad.
